How Does It Know?

I recently reinstalled FSX on a new computer, it's the 3rd one I've had since FSX was released. I looked in the logbook, and it lists flights going back to July of 2006. I never copied any logs over, how does it pick up all those old flights?

Spent way too much time using these sims...

FS 5.1, FS-98, FS-2000, FS-2002, FS-2004, FSX, Flight, FSW, P3Dv3, P3Dv4, MSFS

I think the date/time you see in the logbook are sim times, the default flight loads the skyhawk at KSEA July 11th, 2006 so if you loaded that flight which is pretty much unavoidable you'd see a log entry for 2006.

EDIT: Oops I guess we're in the default trike on left downwind for Friday Harbor now with the default flight, nonetheless it loads the sim time as 2006.

But it shows all sort of flights, tens of thousands of hours worth.

Did you copy your ...\Documents\Flight Simulator X folder from your old computer to your new computer?

Yes I did, I thought it was just the vfr/ifr flights, and saved flt files. Is there a log in there as well?

EDIT - Ah, I see now a file called LogBook.bin. Answers the question, thank you muchly.
