rmatraining
I am new at this and just downloaded and extracted one of the freeware biplanes mentioned on this site. it downloaded into my "Download" folder, and then I extracted it and ran the setup. It never showed in FSX so I moved all the files and folder into the main part of FSX. Still no plan visible with the regular planes that come with FSX. Can anyone explain to me what the procedure is to get downloaded planes to work in FSX? Thanks, Bob
Founder Nels_Anderson Posted January 21, 2019 Founder Share Posted January 21, 2019 On our FSX landing page, in the left menu, you'll find install guides you should find helpful. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?13632-FSX
mrzippy
Which install did you try? File name? Make sure your Aircraft Select page has everything circled in RED. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

Aircraft need to be downloaded into the SimAircraft/Airplanes folder and none other. Not if they're biplanes anyway. Don't use `hit`n`hope`, ask or search out the correct installation method. Now you have to remove all the garbage to get things back on an even keel.
