mallcott
I've been away from Flight Sims for a few years... used to use FSX and it's stil installed on my machine. What's happened in the last 2-3 years? - Any news on a new FSX? Yes. it was called Flight and it lasted about 12 months. Nowadays its all about p3D - X-Plane now better than FSX? No, but it's close - Any graphics improvements on FSX? FSX hasn't been developed since it was released - SP1, SP2 and Acceleration is about it, apart from DX10. Loads of addons have been released. Read the forum for details.
CRJ_simpilot
Microsoft stopped creating FS, and FSX is an old simulator. People have been more apt to gravitate towards X-Plane and Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D. I used to use FS2004 (FS9), but now fly in FSX. In large part due to the fact Prepar3D has an EULA that states you need to be a pilot or student to use it. But as I can only imagine, many people violate that EULA. Prepar3D (P3D) is in its 4th version now. OOM errors? Read this. What the squawk? An awesome weather website with oodles of Info. and options. Wile E. Coyote would be impressed. kiwis
Thanks, I knew FXS had stopped earlier in the 2000's but with MS Flight I was hoping something may have been announced... X-plane 10 really is the way forward then isn't it.
