X-Plane program not responding

I have installed XP10 and set up my joystick and taken a couple of flights but couldn't find the runway to land and crashed oops but when I try to open it for another flight I get the not responding message so I decided to try a fresh install but I can't find the program to uninstall it anywhere in my programs. I'm doing a system restore and trying a fresh install

I'm open to suggestions as to how I find the runway so I can land, what altitude do you suggest I fly at and what airspeed so I can do a circuit to find the damn thing and finally how do I put it down safely

Apologies from a complete newbie rgds Terry

So, are you flying a circuit at your local airport? Which one? Note your heading just before takeoff, then lift off, raise the gear, if retractable, and fly straight ahead for about a minute. Now turn either left or right 90 degrees and fly another minute. Now turn 90 degrees downwind and fly about 5 minutes and get ready to turn 90 degrees on your base leg. Start looking for the runway. I would recommend no more than 2,000 feet altitude until you get used to it.

Happy landings:pilot:

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️
