GBJim Posted November 7, 2018 Share Posted November 7, 2018 As many of you know, LaGuardia Airport is a result of an old New York City landfill project that happened on Flushing bay. Here's a couple of pics of me flying Mr.Shupes Mallard around the bay. My kind of bird advertising a real man's beer, and not some sissy Light beer, that someone "pretended" to send me a few weeks ago. PAH ! LaGuardia Airport on Flushing bay. I tried to land on a spot on the bay, where as a child, I marveled at seeing the China Clipper moored, such as shown below. True story. GBJim Posted November 7, 2018 Author Share Posted November 7, 2018 Yes your Royalness, excellent pictures of both the Clipper and Flushing bay, and with LaGuardia's tower and the Whitestone bridge in the background, you are very close to the exact same spot. I am deeply impressed with both your wizardry, and knowledge of the event. And for such a sensitive young child as myself at the time, the China Clipper was a sight to behold. peer01 Posted November 7, 2018 Share Posted November 7, 2018 I remember, a few Flight Sims back, there were some Clipper docks available all over the world. Including buildings and additional ships.
