tommyeng
Often, if not always, when on line, my flight yoke loses all contact with the ac and the plane starts turning left when I start taxi after push back. It can't be stopped but for braking, but regaining yoke control is impossible. Seems as it happens after voice contact with ATC on IVAP. Anyone recognize this and has idea of solution? Yoke is Logitech. Tommy Engman ESNU Tommy Engman ESNU
cat
Maybe you need a new yoke! Mine broke down like that! Cheers, Pete Sydney Australia

tommyeng
Dear Sirs, things are strange. The reason for the errratic behavior of the Flight Yoke by Logitech and to some extent also the Mad Catz 5 joystick is the keyboard key "Insert". After extensive trial and error at EDDS airport with the help of that days TWR ATC I managed to find that my reassigning of PTT key in Team Speak to the "Insert" key was the culprit. Further trial and error showed that it is not necessary to be connected to the IvAp network to get the error. After push back a simple pressing of the Insert key made the aircraft go in left turn circles when power is applied. The Logitech Joystick however turns to the right but is easier to handle with continuous return twists of the joystick. I fear this is a Logitech phenomenon, because the keyboard is also Logitech. But if some of you would like to experiment with your keyboards, joysticks and flight yokes of other brands it would be interesting to learn of your findings, Regards!
