tgon
Over time, I've added and deleted aircraft which leaves quite a few lines in the Trusted section of FSX.cfg. Not wishing to let FSX recreate the file and lose my modifications, do these leftover lines matter for performance or security purposes? dogdish
You can always make a backup first (There all ready is a backup, but I don't know how often it updates). Then delete what you think is no longer needed. If you delete a trusted gauge for an aircraft that you still have, FSX will just ask you again when you go to load the aircraft and reinstall the gauge trust line. If something goes haywire, you can just put your backup in place. pvarn
There is zero performance hit from the ignore entries. They are parsed before the 3D sim starts and no matter how long, is nearly instant. Ain't broke, don't fix. -Pv- 2 carrot salad, 10.41 liter bucket, electric doorbell, 17 inch fan, 12X14, 85 Dbm
jorgen.s.andersen
Youcould always print out a copy of your FSX.CFG, then delete it and let FSX create a new one and then edit it to put your modifications back in - that's how I do it myself. With regards to the gauges, Dogdish has said it all. Jorgen
