TKessel
I finally gave up on trying to get FSX installed from my DVDs, and got it with Steam on my new Win10 PC. So far, the installation seems OK. BUT my CH Pedals and Yoke aren't recognized and is seems like they may not work in Win 10. Is this so, and what are the alternatives if they don't work? Thanks, Ted

Thanks, Ted They do work, just don't install any software for them and they will be recognised as Human Interface Devices One catch-all to look out for is to ensure you scroll down the window for the Yoke and uncheck the rudder input from one of the levers, then make sure the pedals have the reverse control for brakes checked, or else they will lock on. If you wish to fine tune the devices FSUIPC in its payware form is your friend...
shadowfaxcrx
Make sure you have power management off for all USB devices - that's been known to cause problems with controllers. Also, doesn't hurt to try plugging it into a different port to make sure you didn't coincidentally blow one.
jorgen.s.andersen
Installation of the latest drivers might also help. Jorgen
zswobbie1
Maybe try a joystick? The PC sees the CH stuff as USB joystick controllers, so normally no additional drivers they are plug & play, & using Fsuipc is the best controlling software out there. And, as suggested above check USB power management. Robin Cape Town, South Africa

TKessel
USB power management fixed the immediate problem! I had to get an updated FSUIPC, too. Is there a way to get FSX Steam to run without logging into Steam or an Internet connection? Thanks, Ted
OleGreyGhost
Short answer. No!! If you don't sign in how can they verify that you did not steal their third party product. Plus you could not be entertained with all their useless adds for more games...

When I had Train Simulator someone had a workaround to run it independently, but I forget what it was and don't know if it would work with FSX. Evidently not. :>(
