alexzar14
Learjet 45 with systems and FMS, I really have no idea as to why it was always ignores these past 15 years. I guess I'll go with Eaglesoft's Citation X, the nearest to Learjet 45. By the way, is Citation-X by Eaglesoft and Wilco/Feelthere the same thing? If not, what makes one greater then other? I'm also looking at Justflight's 800XP but the feedback isn't that "enthusiastic".
kingnorris
No, Eaglesoft and Feelthere are NOT the same. The difference? Eaglesoft's is ten times more detailed and realistic. I have the Hawker, and it's not terrible, but not outstanding either. But to just jump in and fly, it's pretty good. I'm anxiously awaiting the Carenado Hawker myself. Been in development for awhile, but their screenshots look great. alexzar14
Looks like Eaglesoft's Citation is what I need, thanks. It's great to know Carenado will do 800XP, I assume it will be superior. Only thing that worries me is the FMS and the plan mode, Carenado may omit it altogether and schlep-in a G1000 instead.
pvarn
Just asking Alex, You want a Lear. Don't like the default Lear? Most people don't like the MS default planes. If lack of FMC is the only thing bothering you, there is a solution for that. Otherwise, respect you wanting a high fidelity business jet. One of my friends only flies the Citation he like it that much. -Pv- 2 carrot salad, 10.41 liter bucket, electric doorbell, 17 inch fan, 12X14, 85 Dbm
alexzar14
I need a little more than a simple FMS, I like to interact with the aircraft and be constantly busy, for that you need a typical payware programmed aircraft software starting at $35 and up. Whenever I am not busy (climb/cruise), I enjoy Orbx views below me and ASN-REX above and around me ))) One of my friends only flies the Citation he like it that much. I have noticed watching videos on utube some people are posting flights using only two/three aircraft continuously, which I understand. Me, I tried all the EFIS airplanes in the past several weeks and I outlined a group of crafts I will be ultimately using: PMDG 737 (-700 favorite) Airbux-X Coolsky MD-80 w/ EFIS PMDG 777, MD-11 iFly 747 (although missing beautiful VC lighting effects and interactive features) PMDG J-41 Majestic Dash-84 Upcoming Aerosoft CRJ-200, I'm confident. Carenado King Airs ________________________________________ And these are already too many to keep up with. I also like Wilco CRJ-NextGen, too bad it's buggy. I had 2 flights, one was perfectly amazing, the other was a wreck with autopilot not doing the job. The rest are either outdated or lacking in extensiveness/quality compared to above list. pvarn
I mis-typed. There are sophisticated FMC packages which can be added to any aircraft. I understand that's not all you're looking for. -Pv- 2 carrot salad, 10.41 liter bucket, electric doorbell, 17 inch fan, 12X14, 85 Dbm
alexzar14
I just made a major discovery this morning, a Milviz 737-200 with upgraded autopilot and FMS!! )) That's what I must have gotten instead of CaptainSim. I bought all CS classics believing I can enjoy (have time for) all of this but that turned to be not the case, I have to give up the classics, too much and too many. Unless it is FMSed like Milviz which I am buying right away.
Rupert
I just went to the Eaglesoft site. They show a Version 1 Citation and a version 2. On the version 1 they show a download button for FSX & FS9. On the Version 2, which I assume to be newer, they show a FS9 download button but not a FSX button. So I just sent them a query as to why no FSX button on what I assume to be the newer setup. I also noticed a "placeholder" for the new Version 3. And asked when it might be out. Which version are you referring to? I assume you are using FSX. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
alexzar14
I was considering V2, V1 is a decade old. I haven't yet examined the options on the site but these are good questions to consider. I'd like to assume there is a discount for owners of previous version(s) so you wouldn't have to pay a full fee for V3 when that comes out, and get a v2 now rather than wait for v3. Rupert
I just went back to the Eaglesoft site again. The Cessna Citation X Extreme 2.0 does not have a FSX download button. On the right bottom there is a sign which says FSX Download. But when I click on it it just turns blue & does nothing. Just as it did yesterday. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. Rupert
Thanks, I saw that other button on the left. But it appeared to be related to FS9. I guess the auto return on their software put it under there. However, it seems the page header is different from what I saw as well. I like your version better! kingnorris
Carenado is actually making an 850xp. Screens at their site are looking good! alexzar14
Carenado is actually making an 850xp. Screens at their site are looking good! This made me think whether or not I need to buy a Citation X, now I'm afraid it's gonna sit in my library not being used. I foresee myself flying 2 bizjets on 2hr+ flights: Carenado's 850xp and Milviz KingAir 350i.

It'll tide me over until then. And yes, it has a working FMC. http://simviation.com//fsnd/Downloads.htm CLX - SET Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i9 10850K - 32GB DDR4 3000GHz Memory - GeForce RTX 3060 Ti - 960GB SSD + 4TB HDD - Windows 11 Home
