guzekman Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 The title says it all. I love the crj 700. However I can't fly them because every time I take off it begins to shake and shake and shake and I can't get it to stop. I know there were other threads a while ago on this but no real answer. Does anyone else have this issue or did anyone find the solution? Thanks
nadlzfw Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Not really sure this will solve the problem, but easy to try. Increase the moments of inertia (MOI) in the weight and balance section of the aircraft.cfg. If you're sure which direction it shakes, you can try just one entry (if it shakes up-and-down revise just the pitch MOI). If not increase all three entries. Try doubling the value and see if it helps. Don't be afraid of trying really large numbers, but in general the lowest that flies nicely is right. As always, back up the original values so you can restore if it does not work will. Good luck!
ColR1948 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 You could try changing the air file but remembering to alter it in the aircraft.cfg as well.
Avechelice Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Hello, This is what I have for the POSKY CRJ 700 .. and no problems at all ..... The 'fix' seems to help a great deal. Before the 'fix' I held the climb out speed to around 215 KIAS, and after the fix the IAS can be 250 kts. So you can try it ! (not needed for me!) guzekman Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 I am trying to check all these numbers to what I have. The problem I have is ensuring that when I save it that it updates in the file. I have the same issue when adding textures to planes. I can't seem to figure that out. I will try this and see if it helps. Thanks:) Were these alterations you made to make the CRJ 700 fly properly? Which texture are you using. everyone that I have tried does it.
nadlzfw Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I have no problem at all revising the files and taking proper effect. You may need to be logged in as admin to have rights to save a revised file. I don't have a CRJ so I can't comment on that specific plane. Nadlzfw
guzekman Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 With the information above it was the same as the plane on file and the shaking persisted. Any other ideas? Any help is appreciated!
