stubby2 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I'm still playing with the default airbus in fsx and seem to have a problem with the rudder. I know I can't control the rudder under normal conditions but even with the computers turned off and AP off I cannot get the plane to respond to manual rudder movements. When I go to an outside view the rudder moves but the nose does not. I don't know if this is the way things are supposed to be or whether this is a bug or I'm doing something incorrectly. I would think I would need some rudder control at least for a crosswind landing.
mrzippy Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Had no problem with the rudder control and swinging the aircraft's nose left or right (depending on the rudder position) Turning off the FBW in the 2D cockpit just after takeoff. It's hard to see the nose swing, but it does! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
stubby2 Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 I just tried again and the rudder worked fine. Looks like dumb user error. Thanks again.
mallcott Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I just tried again and the rudder worked fine. Looks like dumb user error. Thanks again. Yaw Damper was on. We've all done it, every single year since FSX was released.
