BackintheSky Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Hello, I currently use MS flight sim X 2006, PC DVD version. Is there a Dassault DA50EX or 50 add on? I've read that there is an add on for FS 2002.

Can I use this download with FSX DVD? Or do I need to buy MS FSX steam first?
BackintheSky Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 Can I add this download to the DVD version, or do I need to buy FSX steam?
llivaudais Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 I'm using it on the dvd version (not Steam) and see no issues to prevent normal function. mrzippy Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 My FSX is from 2 DVDs so you are good to go! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
BackintheSky Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 Thank you, Zippy. I am not very technical I have no idea where to place the files to add it to my FSX. I found a you tube video. Do you know of any instructions? I downloaded the Falcon 50 into a zip file, but have no idea what to do with it.
llivaudais Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Flightsim.com has almost EVERYTHING you need. This includes a lot of "how to's" Like "How to Install FSX aircraft" happy to be of service, Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: self-built i7-4790 at 4 GHz; GA-Z97X mobo; GTX 970; 16GB gskill; quiet, fast and cool running. mrzippy Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 OK here is the way to do it. I hope that .zip folder is on your desktop! ( much easier to work from there!) My pics are taken from a clean folder to make it easier to see. Extract the Falcon50fsx.v.1.1 from the .zip file. This is what you will see. Open the folder Falcon50fsx.v.1.1 this is what you will see. Open the Effects folder and place these 2 files in your FSX/Effects folder. Double-click on the SimObjects folder, then double-click on the airplanes folder and then place the Dassault Falcon 50 folder in your FSX/SimOjects/Airplanes folder with the rest of your aircraft. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
BackintheSky Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 Thank you, worked great! Flew an ILS to 300 overcast on the first flight.
