pendragonlaw
Hello everyone I am new here in the forum. I have got FSX Steam edition and would like to be able to have some help from someone in person. I have tried to follow you tube videos etc but to no avail. I wonder of thee is anyone in the South Wales area who is willing to meet up and show me how to plan a short flight in a 737, take off, land etc. I'm certain that once I have been shown I will be on my way. Happy to travel to you etc. All help appreciated. I am looking forward to getting into this properly and hope to join a virtual airline one day. Egsjr1956
There are plenty of videos on you tube. Just search for the plane you are using. Also, the learning center in the sim offers a lot of info. This should always be the starting point as it covers the points where the sim simplifies for clarity. None of those You Tube videos seem to simplify for clarity. They complicate to show how clever the poster is. ...and proves that mostly, they aren't.
mrzippy
The actual planning of a flight from airport A to airport B is the simple part. I would suggest flying some of the Missions in FSX to practice the takeoff, flying, approach and landing. The ones using the default 737 and maybe even the A-321 would be useful. The Rome to Naples, or the Secret Shuttle Missions should give you plenty of repeat practice of taking off from one airport, climbing to cruise altitude, then making your approach and landing at the destination airport. It'll give you the chance to taxi all the way from and to your assigned gate. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
