Will these specs let me run 20+ fps at Heathrow with Payware?

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm getting a new PC, just wondered if these specs would allow me to fly into Heathrow and get 20fps. With the laptop I have now I barely get above 10fps!

I don't see why not. You may need to turn down some settings in FSX.

In your list you say add-ons. What are those. Or is that what you have now currently listed? If so, you forgot one of these : A colon.

It depends on settings what fps will be. Payware airport (aerosoft) and pmdg is almost always an issue. With whatever pc.

Ghz.. You can't get a much faster cpu anyway. It's a fine choice you made.

For overclocking, get good watercooler for the cpu. Are nice, not only keep it very cool, but are also very quiet. Is good when flying.

They have a radiator and slow turning fans. Your case will need to be made to fit a radiator, for example with air tents in the top so you can screw the radiator up against the top of the case.

Good radiators have two fans. 14x14cm for example each, meaning you need two fan openings next to each other. (total 14x28).

Also consider a larger ssd. Disks fill up faster then you think.
