Texture_bandwidth_mult=40

I found some folks have run the

TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=120. I tried it and seemed ok but the second day flying around the hot spots I was flying around Oahu in one of my VStudio Stearmans pretty high definition textures and the terrain went wild with the black squares and into starting some serious artifacts. Of course I reset the program changing back to TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=40. Now I do use Kosta's and Nicks tweaks and do run my water maxed out but aside from dropping frame rates around the usual KJFK. KLAX the like my system runs pretty smooth. At first the 120 setting seemed to add a few frames but then I experienced this. Has anyone else tried the higher setting and what or how did it affect your FSX. I found I had asked about this some time ago sorry for the renewed interest but was trying things out on my newer Video Card. I got the same results. Maybe something new has been learned anyway.

I am getting old now and the insanity clause is really kicking in. You know trying the same thing over and over expecting different results!

I'm also an old fart and maybe I, too, just can't remember, but I've never seen anything that says a value over 40 helps anything at all. I'd just leave it at 40 and not worry about it..........Doug
