bmatt569
Hi All, I posted this on the Painters Workshop. There's been a lot of views but so far no replies. So I'm posting it here with a little better screenshot of the "problem". This is what I see when I load the CLS DC 10-15 for AVJ into FSX SE. This is what I see in FSRepaint when I go to the CLS DC 10-15 AVJ. I've actually gone so far as to delete the model I've repainted in both FSX SE and FSRepaint and still got the same results. What would cause this to happen? I've checked the DX 10 Preview box in settings and neither checked or unchecked makes any difference. Does this have something to do with the alpha channel perhaps? Or, am I barking up the entirely wrong tree here? Thanks for any and all opinions, observations, criticisms or other comments. mrzippy
Maybe a little too much paint thinner in your paint bucket! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
bmatt569
Zippy, I thought about that. I believe that the store I got the paint from gyped me again. Guess I have to buy the stuff that's not on clearance sale anymore. f16jockey_2
Open fspap_dc10fuseL_t.bmp in your AVJ texture folder, and check the alpha channel is plain white. IMO it's not, hence the reflection. This is best done with DxtBmp (alpha channel can be seen in the top right corner window). Wim PS. Do the same for the right side.
jdwgraf
@f16jockey_2 You should untick the box marked " Include when saving " as mip maps are not needed ( for user aircraft - only AI ) . John
dogdish
One thing you can do is export the alpha channels from a known good repaint. Then import them into your Atlanta Value Jet. John Thanks, I knew that. Screenie was just made for this thread's purpose, didn't think of adjusting it as if it was for real.. Wim

bmatt569
Wim and Jack, Thanks for the suggestions. I'm definitely going to try that tomorrow when I can actually concentrate enough to make it happen. These 18 hr days are rough on an old "retired" guy. (LOL) I'll let you know what I find out. keefpee
Could be wrong, but I thought a pure white alpha in FSX gave mirror like shine - opposite to FS9.
bmatt569
Hi All, And a BIG thanks! Wim, it WAS the alpha channel. The one that was giving me trouble was black. Changed it to white and all is good in my world. I appreciate all of the replies and great advice from you all. It just made my day.
