Luckypup
For some reason CNTRL+F2 no longer works. F2 works in controlling throttle but I can't adjust prop pitch. Any suggestions?
mrzippy
Did you check your control button section to see if something has changed? You're not trying to change the prop pitch on an aircraft with a fixed pitch prop? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
Luckypup
Mr Zippy First, I thank you for your answer to my post in The Outer Marker about SF to Dallas airlines. Second, No, I fly the Cessna 182 RG and in order to get proper performance from it you have to be able to reduce prop pitch after TO. You have to adjust pitch on the propliners I fly as well. I can use the levers to adjust pitch but it's easier to use CNTRL+F2. I wish I couls get a computer that works the same way all time.
mrzippy
Have you checked in your key button assignments that Prop RPM decrease has not lost CTRL+F2 as it's command. Do the commands that I have circled (besides Ctrl+F2) work? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
tgibson_new
If prop pitch is still assigned to Ctrl-F2, then another possibility could be that your prop pitch lever is noisy and that is overriding your keyboard inputs. Move it full travel several times to clean the contacts and see if that helps. When using the keyboard, keep the lever at full fine. Tom, I don't think he has mentioned any desktop yoke or throttle units. I interpreted his response to moving the prop levers as using the mouse on the panel display levers. Luckypup
Mr. Zippy - Well, Thanks again. I checked the key assignments and, sure enough, the "Decrease prop RPM" key assignment was blank. I put in CNTRL+F2and it works fine now. Please explain to me how, after years of use, the key assignment should just vanish. Like I said before I'd like to get a computer that works the same way every time I fire it up. Luckypup

Luckypup Only thing I can think of is that you installed something like a new aircraft or program for your Sim that automatically changed that setting without you knowledge.
