FSX Fix

Hi, I haven't used FSX in years and did a fresh install with SP1 and SP2. I do remember there being bugs and problems that needed to be fixed prior to it becoming a stable platform.

The one thing I remember you need to do is to place UIAutomationCore.dll into the main installation folder to prevent menu bar crashes, which I've done. I think this prevents right mouse click crashes also?

What else needs to be done? I think there was a problem with scenery where after a long flight, scenery wouldn't load or something like that?

The addition of; highmemfix=1 under the [GRAPHICS] header.

Look(search) for Kostas guide or Nick's bible to see the different tweaks&tuning possible.

Depending what kind of system you got, what OS, if you intend to run on DX9 or 10, etc...

i7-4790K @4400 on Gigabyte Z97X (16gb), GeForce GTX 970 OC, Corsair Spec case

Win7 Ult(64) on Samsung850 SSD(256), FSX+Accell on Samsung850 SSD(256), Track IR5

Saitek yoke/rudder radio/multi/switch panels, Logitech G13, GMap on Samsung tab

I just read about this here: https://flyawaysimulation.com/news/4737/

I have a pretty decent system and I have not seen scenery loading while I fly like I used to on an older system. But I have seen buildings at paid-for airports and now O'Hare which is the default not show all the terminals. I'm wondering if this tweak would fix that? I was thinking it was the plane. I have been flying the Virtavia F-22 and it seems like using this aircraft causes some buildings not to load. At the FSDreamTeam forum, he informs me that it's a Simconnect issue. I do use LittleNavMap on the other screen and have increased its update to 1 second instead of 500 ms.
