Acceleration Problem

BMJ2013

Recommended Posts

I installed FSX on two computers, but my second computer wont take my product key. Is there any way to deactivate the key on my first computer so I can install the full Acceleration version onto my other computer?

Only way I know of is to uninstall it on the first computer.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

To uninstall from PC A alone won't 'clear' you for install to PC B. MS doesn't know anything except that you HAD it installed in PC A. So install, and activation, in PC B still won't work.

You have to CALL and let them (support) know that you un-installed (and won't be using) from PC A but will install and use ONLY in PC B. They will then walk you thru FSX Accel activation while online and on the phone. Just (stay calm) and follow the instructions. Nothing to it.

like mrzippy said, the only way is to uninstall the whole thing.

That's odd because I have it running on two PC's no problem.?

Do you get an error code come up when you try to activate it? There is an activation issue for acceleration which throws up error code 1-80004005. If you are getting this problem then do this........

1. run regedit (Windowskey +R) 2. Expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTRO L\CLASS\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 3. After you find the folder, double-click Upperfilters on the right side. 4. Change the value from 0 to PartMgr and/or remove any other settings and then click OK. 5. Close Registry Editor 6. Start FSX/Accel and you should get the registration wizard.
