I think i can change it up and make it more a realistic aircraft... having experience rewiring the mechanics and engineering of the sim models through the years. It would be my pleasure to do so... and I feel using the real world specs (which i have plugged in on other freeware models) have improved them immensely... This plane would be no different... Hondajet.com and wikipedia have been very well informed in giving specs. In addition have already started studying the specs of your model and the real plane... (sending e-mails to the engineers of Honda Jet for additional information) I understand the mechanics of the .cfg files and I am confident i can improve it 25x from the current state in downloads area. Your specs upon initial flight are a bit "Off"... I have found multiple problems. 1. Poor handling. (Ailrons, elevators, rudder) 2. too much weight. its too heavy per the weight/thrust ratio... 3. It is WAY overpowered too the thrust is too much... 4. flaps are too little to STOP the bird upon landing... the landing speed characteristic of the real one is about 170-180 knots. your landing speed is over 225 knots... blow out is 250... that's kinda close to hit and miss to have a good landing. 5. fuel is insufficient for any range... and if you add fuel you have to check your weights and payloads. Your tanks also throw the balance off a bit... 6. wing chord is too high... it buffets at inaccurate speeds for the thrust you have specified. 7. Overspeed is inaccurate too, your bird can go over 450 knots and the real one is set at 493 knots... to redline No offense for pointing them out... but I like the look of the model, it just needs a tweak under the hood... I am able to fix all problems with no issue... With your permission, I will get started, and I will include you in the credits for any and all "Tweaks" made to the specs for your model. mallcott Posted January 3, 2018 Share Posted January 3, 2018 Before you do ANY of these things, I would caution you that several developers who've attempted to create simulacrums of Hondas jet have faced heavy-handed threats from lawyers about copyright and intellectual rights breaches, even for freeware.
