ColR1948
I edited a texture earlier and used DXTBmp program then sent it to the editor Paint.net, edited the texture the saved as Original. The all my aircraft textures look like the pic I posted. I tried to resave but it made no difference, the aircraft open in the sim and look OK but I don't think the files should look like this, any suggestions please? f16jockey_2
You inadvertently changed the file association for BMP-files to DxtBmp. Google "Change file associations in Windows" to change it back to whatever it was. Wim
ColR1948
Thanks I forgot about that, I did it but the only options to change was Paint.net or the default paint or windows veiwer. I chose Paint.net, they all changed but that wasn't what they were before, any other ideas please?

ColR1948
Ha I knew someone would ask that, I'm not sure but not that, I read while Googling, that it doesn't make much difference what the extension is.

f16jockey_2
In Explorer View Options, uncheck “Hide Extensions for Known File Typesâ€. Wim
unclegreg
If you have the original zip file for the affected textures open it to see what they were originally. Or... can't you put the textures back in DXTBitmp and change them to DDS files or a different bmp. type? unclegreg
ColR1948
@unclegreg I went to bed last night and I thought of doing exactly that, I do have some AC on pen drives, so I put one in my other PC and had a look. I wouldn't have thought this but the extension was Windows Photo Viewer, any way I changed them in my sim, thank you by the way. Col.
