DJP
I have Craig Richardsons Dorner Do28a and the float version has no water sounds. I am trying to figure out how to add them and wondering if anyone has any ideas or can steer me in the right direction. I read another post that says the .cfg file needs to have class 2 scrape points added. I copied these from another float plane with no success. Thanks. f16jockey_2
I have Craig Richardsons Dorner Do28a... Yes, Craig's famous Do-28a which we all know... NOT. Filename and/or download location ? I read another post that says the .cfg file needs... Would you mind sharing that one as well? Just that we don't reinvent the wheel. BTW Scrape points have their coordinates, depending on the model. You can't just copy/paste them from anywhere. Wim
mrzippy
Best guess, Wim, is this one....5th download on the page. https://simviation.com/1/browse-Props-62-22?mark=49710#49710 Downloading now to try it. If no water sounds then 2 options: 1. Full the bathtub with water and use your hand to make splashy sounds. 2. Substitute the default Beaver sound folder for the Dornier sound folder. 3. Well fer crying up a stump! The DornierDo28A-1S folder, which contains the floatplane models has a bloody sound folder containing an alias to the Baron58 sound file! Ain't gonna get no stinkin' splashy sounds from that! At least I don't think so! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

This plane can fly through anything !!! Time for some stunt flying... Wim

DJP
Update for anyone who cares. Turns out if you modify the sound.cfg any sound file can be a water plane. In the sound.cfg in the ground roll section add this: [GROUND_ROLL6] filename=cnroll6 flags=131072 link=GROUND_ROLL7 [GROUND_ROLL7] filename=waterloop flags=8 minimum_volume=6000 maximum_volume=9300 minimum_speed=3 maximum_speed=55 minimum_rate=0.95 maximum_rate=1.10 The ground roll link will have to be modified to your sound, but it works good and is easy. Thanks for everyones help. Dean
