PC on high CPU after closing FSX ...

Hi fellow simmers,

I have a pretty fresh FSX (deluxe) install on my windows 7 sp1 system(FRESS REFORMAT). No addons added

only installed UIAutomationCore in main FSX folder.

Even if the game seems to be running well, CPU usage doesnt really go down after i close FSX.

It keeps hanging around 50 to 60 %.

Its gotta be something with the game because the system is low CPU before i open the game..

any ideas ?

Hi lefu,

First, right-click on the taskbar and then "Start Task Manager". Next click the Processes tab and then "Show processes from all users:. See what's using all those CPU cycles.

Exactly what i did (before i got back to the forum ;) )

Somehow "windows media player network service" got activated every time i had FSX open

And really stays high on CPU, (almost 1.2gig RAM usage...) So i deactivated the service.

I'll check how to fix it later..i dont even know what that service does.

Job is done here :)

Thank you jandjfrench !
