springbok12
I have been using FS9 ever since it first came out , I am thinking of moving to fsx. I have a large amount of payware and freeware scenery and aircraft particularly AI. Will my payware aircraft and scenery work on fsx if not are there file conveters available , Also which Edition of fsx is the best one. My rig is a HP probook 6570b DualCore I5 2.6hhz with intel ® 4000 graphics apu. It flies along at 30 50 fps on fs9 with all sliders maxed out. Will i get the same performance out of FSX
mrzippy
Same performance.....No! Some FS2004 scenery work, not too sure about payware FS2004 aircraft. The only edition left would be FSX Steam edition, which will go on sale at different times for around $5.00. Any disc editions will be very limited and expensive. There may be some "deals" on EBay. Learn something new every day.....scenery is already in plural form!;) Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
Egsjr1956
With that rig I would stick with FS9. With FSX the machine will probably struggle. Enjoy the flying experience you are getting. CRJ_simpilot
Why do so many people insist on using a laptop for a Sim? You're far better off with a desktop, hands down! Especially for this: https://flyinside-fsx.com/Products I have yet to try this. Would rather buy my Mavic drone before VR at this time. LOL OOM errors? Read this. What the squawk? An awesome weather website with oodles of Info. and options. Wile E. Coyote would be impressed.
