cprice317
Loaded FSX Gold and accelartion everything is operating but many docs reference the fsx.cfg file which I'm not showing in my root FSX folder. I did a search and that file does not show. Why don't I have this file? How can my FSX system run without it? Cp
pvarn
It's in your user folder, not FSX folder. Different operating systems have slightly different locations, but on Win7x64 it's here: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX You will likely need to change the File Explorer option to show hidden file extensions to be sure you are editing the correct file. StringBean
Go to the Control Panel, then Folder Options. On the View tab add a check to "show hidden files, folders and drives". Remove the check from "Hide extensions for known file types". peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. zswobbie1
I found this tool very helpful. Go to http://www.voidtools.com & download a desktop search engine called 'everything' Run it & put FSX.cfg into the search box. It will find it very quickly. pvarn
Read up a few posts. He found the file without installing a program on his computer. -Pv- 2 carrot salad, 10.41 liter bucket, electric doorbell, 17 inch fan, 12X14, 85 Dbm
