deebeeeff
I have searched but not seen this issue so far. FSX Acceleration. The only add-on showing is FSUIPC. I have SDK and have modified dll.xml (see below) so it should be showing the tools, but so far no luck. (PATHS: Have tried it both ways, full and relative. No luck either way.) Thanks for your help. I have 3 sim connect DLLs (not sure why the word "none" is in the folder name): x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_none_dd92b94d8a196297 x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_none_e079b46b85043c20 x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61259.0_none_55f5ecdc14f60568 dll.xml ************************ Launch dll.xml False False Object Placement Tool False False C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\object_placement.dll Traffic Toolbox False False C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll Visual Effects Tool False False C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Special Effects SDK\visualfxtool.dll FSUIPC 4 False Modules\FSUIPC4.dll
f16jockey_2
You probably already know this, but "Object Placement Tool", "Traffic Toolbox" and "Visual Effect Tools" won't show in "Add-ons" but in a separate "Tools" menu (between "Help" and "Add-ons"). Wim HAHAHHAHA! What a delicate way of telling me that I am an idiot. Thanks! No, I did not know that. Now, the good news is, I have a tools menu with Object Placement and VFX. However, the Traffic Toolbox is not there. Please tell me it is somewhere else obvious. ;) Dave
il88pp
I don't see any errors. No forgotten lines and such. I thought absolute paths with spaces needed to be in quotes. Not 100% sure. I use relative paths, but I changed them to absolute for testing this. Without spaces worked fine. From my dll.xml file: Traffic ToolboxFalseFalseC:\FSMain\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll [/Code] Only things I can think of, are you certain the file traffictoolbox.dll is in that location? Instead of in your location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK Could it be in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK or in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK perhaps. I have traffictoolbox showing. (the other ones I disabled. They would normally show under the same menu. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
deebeeeff
Thanks. traffictoolbox.dll is in proper location. I even copied the path and filename directly from the properties dialog into the text editor. Still no luck. OPT and VFX both load fine, but when I disable them, and leave TTB enabled, I get no tools menu and no TTB. Very strange.
deebeeeff
My most sincere applogies. My earlier reply was not at all meant to offend. I very much appreciated your response, and did not at all think you were being a jerk. All of my laughter was at myself because I really was an idiot. So very sorry I didn’t articulate my thanks more clearly. Thanks
