RKG_Buttons Gauge

Does anybdy remember the RKG_Buttons Gauges? I have the gauge but I have lost the Zip Archive and I need the instructions on how to program the Hidden_Key_ID_*_Buttons. I can program the Hidden_Panel_Buttons but I've never used the Hidden_Keys. If I could find the original archive, there are instructions in it.

I did a search here and online but I couldn't find anything about Robert K Guy's gauge. I saw it referenced but no link to download it, again. If anybody know were I could find it, I would surely appreciate a point in the right direction.

Thank you,

Tim

I found multiple links with a Google search using:

FS RKG Buttons download

I saw most of those pages. Did you happen to follow any of those google links? It's like I found: lots of references to the gauge archive, but no download lnks.

Long ago, when I first got that gauge, I had a bad habit of keeping the gauges but losing the zip archive. I still have the gauge, but I need the original archive so I can read the installation instructions that came with it.

Thank you,

Tim

I did. The first link: http://www.simnetwork.com/SIMNETWORK/downloads.php?cat_id=11&rowstart=120:

Contains a download button for a zip file which requires membership to activate. I avoid these things like the plague but if the archive is that important to you, maybe CAREFULLY perusing the process, backing out if too nasty (downloading a manager/installer for instance.) If successful, you might aid others in uploading it to the library here where others can obtain it without the hassle. Needless to way I failed to follow the link through the membership screen but I did follow though enough to know there was at least some kind of zip download link as a result of the Google search.

I have the same gauges but can't find the instructions either. They are C++ gauges. I tried Paul Varns link but saw no RKG gauge entry. If anyone has the zip file I'd sure like it too. Bob.

Update: Look here for rg_btns5.zip. It has all the info needed. Bob.

On thinking about this some more, if this for FSX, I think you will get along much better downloading and using the simicons package from the file library here. These are the buttons you see in most of the models for changing panels and views.

There may be something strange about how the site handles direct links to a PHP argument, but I have no trouble getting to it from the Google search I suggested:

RKG.jpg

Use at your own risk (zip dated 2006.) I still think simicons is probably better since it's not likely you need the default stuff like AP on and off which should be available in your current AP. The icons provided in the RKG package look pretty primitive by today's standards.

Well, now I am certifiable, gentlemen. I actually have the gauge you mentioned. I was confused because the name of the archive is rg_buttons and not rkg_buttons. I also have Robert Guy's Fuel Status gauge which uses the name rkg. That's what was confusing me.

And, yes, the gauge you mention is here in the file download section if you look under rg_btns5.zip.

I apologize to everyone for the confusion and for the work you went through to help me find what I already had. That would not have been necessary for you to do if I had not gotten confused.

I am sorry and please, everyone have the best year in 2015 that you have ever had and be in good health.

Thank you,

Tim

I had the same problem you had. Uploaders changing the original names or uploading under multiple names combined with the limited features of the file search engine (which is mostly caused by poor descriptions of the file) do not help.
