GSX catering problem

Hi all!!!

I have been using GSX for a while and there is a problem that I am facing, after I call for catering they normally come and carry out the process but when they ask me to close the doors and, start to leave the people or the caterers just get stuck in mid air and the vehicles leave and throughout my entire time at gate (as long as I can see my parking spot) they remain there, any fix for this???

I would head on over here and ask. Once you create an account it will need to be approved which IMO is pretty stupid. Have you updated at all? There is an update that was released like a month or two ago.

UPDATE===

After I installed the previous version the problem went away but then I cannot ask for different types of caterers e.g. Jet Blue LSG Sky Chefs etc. and it just just brings the one it prefers. Also there are other features that are not available... so I want the new one!!! Plus I did try updating to the latest but I think I do not understand how I can do that, can you tell???

You have to download and install the FSDT download manager, and use it to get the new updated version.

Before you do that though, uninstall the previous version and the previous version of the coatl.

I updated mine recently, and after all this was done, it works. I also have one of their airports, and only at that airport, the gates no longer use the control+j method. (All default airports still use control+J)

I like the update, although at the FSDT airport, the AI planes no longer have the jetways attaching to them.

I am fully updated and my problem has been solved but a new one has arisen, the marshaller (disappears after parking) and the person who helps in pushback disappears right after the the tow truck leaves and he bids farewell.

Just curious....should they actually stick around with their hand out waiting for a generous gratuity from the pilot? These guys have work to do!;)

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Haha!! Funny!

In all seriousness, I don't know what's wrong. My marshalls walk back to the gates after directing me.

Maybe your pc isn't up to par? What're your specs?

Actually I am curious, when he completes his job he starts heading towards the gate and if I do not start taxi and keep looking at him he disappears after getting quite far, and also after parking at my destination the marshaller leaves and keeps on going and stops a little far away and disappears. I was just making sure if this is what happens to you also or not??? Please check...

Yes, they both disappear into the "wild blue yonder", lol. I think that's normal; where else would they go? The whole idea of the GSX is to be realistic. After I get my send off, I start taxiing right away. Also, at airports that use a bus to transfer the PAX, mine drive off into the distance and I can see the bus for quite awhile. Same with yours?

Extremely sorry for the late reply. Yes the bus goes quite a distance away and parks at some spot where other default ground traffic is. Although most of the time it parks right inside of the parked truck etc. Yeah GSX is realistic only when it is serving the aircraft otherwise it is not realistic, humans tend to be not realistic these days I suppose, and hey sometimes during push back when the marshaller is walking besides the aircraft he goes right through the parked vehicles, What about you??? It happens not that often. For the marshaller, I will try to cover my eyes and pretend to not look at him after he starts leaving. LOL!!!

Yes I get that too. As well as luggage trucks driving thru the static vehicles.

It's not perfect but it does bring life to my airports.
