mrzippy Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 My last thought on this....Nothing to do with battery, generator switches, or APU..... Is there any chance, Mr. OP, that you may have accidentally setup for an electrical failure using the "Failures" tab next to the flight planner? Oooh, let's see what happens if I check this box??? Nothing happened immediately so on to the flight!;) 2 hours later...blank panels for no reason! That would cause the electrical failure without any switches being turned off. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
napamule2 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Well, we already heard what he THINKS he did DO. And we heard what he THINKS he did not DO. Me thinks there's just too much DO about nothing and no way to 'shovel' it. DO we have time for this? jparnold Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 Ooh what did I start here. Such a lot of inputs from so many (thanks for popping in Zippy , haven't 'seen' you around for a while). Is it ok to watch something other that South Park - I'm too young for that 'language' :) Regardless I will try that 'experiment' (and watch Jeopardy :) ) I too had noticed there is a switch on the 'overhead panel' which doesn't 'animate' in the overhead panel in the 3D panel. Can't remember which one only that it is on the right hand side. I guess if this had been the PMDG (or IFly) B737 there might have been something in the 'users guide' to sort all this out. I am still 'gob smacked' at what is in FSX (complexity) especially given how long ago it was released and I am more than happy to use the FSX B737. Regardless of what I now know about FSX and 'flying' (been using it since it was released and FS98 before that) I never cease to learn something new thanks to this forum and you 'excellent' chaps. Mr Zippy I have never used the 'failures' tab but had a look and by default none seem to be 'set'. I cannot see that I could have accidentally set up for any failure.
