kalizzi
90 miles, 35 minutes, VFR GPS direct, 8500ft, 9 Gallons of fuel consumed, very scenic flight. I did this while enjoying a large whisky (can never do that in real, that's one rare instance where flight simming is better than the real deal :P)... Take-off from Belfast city (EGAC). Over the Irish Sea, 8,500 feet. Empty skies. The beautiful lines of the graceful Cessna C-210 Centurion, en route. Hitting the Scottish landfall, just off Prestwick, barely visible through the hole in the clouds. Inside the comfy cockpit, plenty of room, like a Cadillac. Over the River Clyde, downtown Glasgow, showing the Science Centre and the dockyards. On short final to EGPF, R/W 23, over the town of Clydebank. On terra firma in one piece, having flown under influence (of a good dram) Hope you like. Godspeed and happy Landings. Rupert
Great shots Khalid!! Glad you caught such a clear day!! They're not real common. As to the Dram. I'm more than too fond of Highland Park myself! :o At least when simming, that won't get me grounded!! ;) Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. kalizzi
Michael, Kenny, Klee, and Bob, thank you buddies for your kind words. As for the not-so-wee dram, it was the very distinguished Talisker Storm, super peaty and smoky, with a drop of Scottish tap water to open up its flavour! Slangevar, your good health. kalizzi
Great flight and pics!!:eek::pilot: What UK scenery is that? Thank you Jan, I use Just flight's VFR Real Scenery (the collection) by GeoProspectives, along with Revolution X, and Just Flight British Airports volumes 1 to 6 (the full series). Combine that with REX weather and you get a decent package.
