GermanPilot
Hey folks! I know, I know - it has been a long time since I posted something, especially here, but guess what! Though I have been posting rarely I did not exit the flightsim-plane. Actually it has been rising after all, flying for a never ending journey :pilot: Anyway, this time I found myself in EDBM Magdeburg (my virtual "home base" for anything flights, which I recreated in deepest details - quite proud of it), in a Schleicher ASW 27 B (by Wolfgang Piper), paired with CumulusX! and WinchX! by Peter Lürkens - a really nice combination to fly gliders with! You may ask: Why is it the probably most beautiful way to fly? Well, just take a look... (original size) About to get pulled by the winch - 800m with 110km/h! Above EDBM Ground Got rid of the winch, on the search for thermals! Magdeburg City - seen from the cockpit The ATC had a chance to spot my glider in the sky. Turn after turn after turn we gain some altitude! Even higher above EDBM! This image proves why this is the most beautiful way to fly... elegance, beauty, simplicity! Flying high over Magdeburg. Second part following... GermanPilot
Second part time! Windmills for "clean electricity" - this region has lots of them. A view on Magdeburgs inner city - the main station and the cathedral visible, as well as the parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. No need for words... A more detailed view over the inner city of Magdeburg. Different angle... A funny way to annoy the ATC: Gain speed, pull back the steering lever and do loopings! Getting ready to land safely again... Descending with speedbrakes out. Part 3 coming... GermanPilot
Part 3! Didn't think it would get *that* long hehe :D Before the wheels touch ground... ... to the final standstill... ... to finally exit the sailplane and end the flight with a cold beer! Thanks for flying with me! Hope you enjoyed the pictures. liner simpilot
As the pilot that soars is about as close to an Eagle soaring, you accomplished here in these pictures. If any simmers get the opportunity to go soaring do it, it is the only way to fly. Kenny

I agree with you, every simmer must fly in a glider at least once - iirc it's actually really cheap: the club near me charges around 15 bucks (or a box of beer :D) for a 5 Minute flight. liner simpilot
That's amazing, if I read it right, a box of beer or $15.00 dollars for approximate 5 minute flight, such a deal either way. That is more fun then watching a bunch of ants crawling out of a hole. Kenny
