liner simpilot Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I have a question regarding the ATC announcement. Where does the voice of the Airlines comes from? I would like the call out National 1010 if possible. Upon a flight say DC-10-10 National. (CFG) says atc_airline=NATIONAL, atc_flight_number=1010. If I delete flight_number=1010, put in National=1010 when I start up Flt sim pick DC-10-10 National the ATC says Douglas 1010 where as I thought it would say National 1010. If I leave the atc_flight_number=1010, it calls out 1010 only. Thanks Kenny
darrenvox Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 My best guess would be ui airline=national and then use what's above... CRJ_simpilot Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 You need to use Editvoicepack and modify the airline name for National. Just the National name will do. In fact, National may already come with Editvoicepack. So once you use it to update your voice set in the Sim it would be there already. Editvoicepack already has many airlines. They don't have Delta for some reason. I had to add that myself. If you need help with Editvoicepack there is a forum. OOM errors? Read this. lmoelleb Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Delta is included in the default voicepack - that is the reason it is not in EditVoicepack. If the aircraft manufacturer is used instead of the "callsign", it is because there is no flight number. If the callsign is missing it won't be replaced with anything, atc will just leave it out and only use the flight number. Developer of EditVoicepack
CRJ_simpilot Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Well, I had no Delta when I was at SLC. I use Editvoicepack. OOM errors? Read this. liner simpilot Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 Thanks Darren & crjsimpilot for answering my question. Where can I download Editvoicepack? I will give it a try as I like having the callsign instead of the flt# only. Thanks Kenny

lmoelleb Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Well, I had no Delta when I was at SLC. I use Editvoicepack. Strange. It must be a configuration issue somewhere - EditVoicepack is not required for Delta to work. Developer of EditVoicepack
CRJ_simpilot Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I'm thinking my AI A/C doesn't use the word "Delta" in its Aircraft.cfg. I'll have to look. OOM errors? Read this.
