Philip Sunderland
I have a new Asus X555l laptop running windows 10. I installed FSX and the program worked really well with no apparent problems. When I closed FSX I noticed there was no icon on the desktop and so I opened the program files on the DVD drive with the FSX disc 2 loaded. I clicked the exe. file to start it..and nothing. Disc turns a few times and nothing happens. I have tried right clicking and changing properties with the compatibility troubleshooter to run it on an older version of Windows, but still nothing. I can see all the files are loaded on the HD, it ran perfectly after the install but now it will not open. Any help would be very gratefully received. mrzippy
After installing FSX using the discs and the proper Product codes entered for authorization, there is no need to use the discs to run the program. You need to go into the Main FSX folder and right-click on the blue FSX.exe Icon and send it to your desktop as a shortcut. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! Philip Sunderland
Hi and thank you for above replies. I have already tried all the above. The first thing I did was to look under start for Microsoft Games folder but there isn't one and FSX is definitely not listed as an installed program, at least on the Start menu. I had already tried to create the shortcut too, but nothing happens when I click it. Mystified!
