Sharkzz Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 FSX & Trakir 5 if having problems with it not working in FSX, if you have added FSX AFTER you have installed trakir, simple uninstall trakir, reinstall and let it point to your flight sim, (it may say FS2002 but that is OK as there is a latent Fs2002 .exe in the main folder), let it do it's business, the important, START FSX FIRST, Then start Trakir. The bottom right hand corner of your trakir IR if you hover the mouse over the coloured lights will say connected to sim or not connected to sim. 99 % it will say connected, then enjoy. I have also found this will work WITH F1 view installed as well giving you mouse wheel zoom. hope this helps some folks. regards Sharkzz. aka Lozza from OZ.:pilot:
Mark Hurst Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 the important, START FSX FIRST, Then start Trakir Why? MarkH
Daniel.T Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Yes, WHY ? Strange... For the last two years, my sequence after Win7 boot up is: Start Logitech G13 soft,, then SPAD, then Track IR, then FSX. And before I "activate" my flight, I start my fsWidget server. Never had a problem in that order. i7-4790K @4400 on Gigabyte Z97X (16gb), GeForce GTX 970 OC, Corsair Spec case Win7 Ult(64) on Samsung850 SSD(256), FSX+Accell on Samsung850 SSD(256), Track IR5 Saitek yoke/rudder radio/multi/switch panels, Logitech G13, GMap on Samsung tab
MrUnSavory Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 You don't have to start FSX first. You also do not have to uninstall the software. If your's is acting like this then you have some other problem. TrackiR can be started first if you like and it will sense FSX and connect.
