stinger2k2
Hi I would think those frames are pretty good on cpu running at 2.3ghz. I assume we are talking fsx here which is very cpu dependant. If you are getting 20 and the view is smooth don't worry about it. If it is not smooth you may have to dial down some of your settings or tweak it using Kostas guide. Allen Craig
My i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz runs FSX @ 30 fps with no lag or stutter Clouds make a HUGE difference https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?304556-Got-clouds The clouds in the pic are found here... 1hdev2-
il88pp
I expect you mean the 6200u. That's a laptop processor. It is not fast. It's a dual core with two extra virtual cores. Those 2 fsx can't use. Laptops can't get rid of heat and get slower as they heat up while you fly. The name "gaming computer" just means it has a graphics card. Nice, but fsx also needs a fast processor. 20 fps is what you can expect. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jorgen.s.andersen
Plus, disk access is generally slower on a laptop, unless you have a SSD. To get the max from this computer, regardless of desktop or laptop, take Stinger's advice and take a good look at Kosta's tweaking guide, which is posted as a sticky in this forum.
