llivaudais
Hello, I've waited for years to have a machine that could record and edit flight videos and the time has finally arrived. Every time I saw someone adding to the FSX sticky "How do you keep FSX interesting?" I wanted to point out some of my flights but couldn't really share the experience except by maybe copying over one of the in-flight "recordings" (.fsr file). Now I have an alternative... videos fill the bill and, yes, I am having fun. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This "Why I fly #4: Down Grizzley Creek Canyon" offering is a location just across I-70 on the north side of Glenwood Springs, CO [KGWS]. I've flown the canyons on the edges of this plateau probably scores of times; it's one of my earliest "finds" and always enjoyable. Up Canyon Creek canyon and back down Grizzley Creek canyon available on YouTube: Technical: Sim - Prepar3d v2.5 (1920 x 1080 30fps) capture - OBS titles created in Gimp editing - Blender (final mp4 at 720p) duration - 8:48 music - none Aircraft - Christen Eagle II (ce2_fsx.zip) by Long Island Classics scenery - FTX Global Base and Global Trees HD Terrain Mesh - FreeMeshX http://ninetwopro.com/freemeshx/ I created and used 5 custom scenery camera locations for the recording. Hope you enjoy, Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: self-built i7-4790 at 4 GHz; GA-Z97X mobo; GTX 970; 16GB gskill; quiet, fast and cool running. PhantomTweak
Another fun flight! Beautiful aircraft too. Thanks for another fun to watch vid :) Have you thought about taking the Welsh Mach Loop in a fast mover? F-111, F-18, something like that? Or even, and they do this in real life, a C-130! Might be another fun "valley run" for you... Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Sgt, USMC, 10 years proud service, Inactive reserve now :D
llivaudais
Pat, the Mach Loop is on my list - not to give away too much but I'm thinking multiple aircraft and multiple passes - I've watched a lot of those videos too. I even have the Mach Loop scenery with the groups standing atop the hills to watch the fly-by's so there will have to be some cameras set up near them. Actually, my first ever scenery cameras were at 4-5 locations there in the loop. MrUnSavory
If you are really interested in making videos you may want to take a look at this product. It is like EzDok but gives you even more effects for your videos. :) You did another great job!! :) https://fsfxpackages.com/en/ChasePlane/
llivaudais
thoughtful observation, Ross! One of my MP group members is giving this software a look-see at the moment. I've watched the videos and it does look interesting. Before I get into that I've a few others to make use of. I should have a vid featuring "Where are my Aircraft?" in a few weeks. So much to do; so little time! Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: self-built i7-4790 at 4 GHz; GA-Z97X mobo; GTX 970; 16GB gskill; quiet, fast and cool running.
