jetmaker
Hello folks.................... Does anyone have any info concerning edits to FSX standard.xml file that highlights in red, places of interest like airports etc as you fly over them. The process involved entering keyboard entry to activate the output........thanks for any help.

llivaudais
A few years back, I extended that airport labels feature by creating "dummy" airport locations: the "airport" bgl (using ADE) contained only lat, lon, elev, apt name, city, country, etc - just enough to make a valid, but minimal, airport definition. These "airports" were the main hill/mountain features in the Lake District in the UK. It sure helped me learn my way around. By placing the feature 'airports' together in a unique scenery folder, I could turn them on/off at will. There was also a payware add-on that did essentially the same thing for numerous non-airport locations around the world but I can't remember if it was for FSX or FS9. You might find it if you browse the popular on-line sim stores. Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: self-built i7-4790 at 4 GHz; GA-Z97X mobo; GTX 970; 16GB gskill; quiet, fast and cool running.
