We have 2,800 gallons of fuel on board for this flight of about 2 hours and 45 minutes. The weather is clear with moderate high cloud cover. We will be cruising at an altitude of 19,000 feet. With the Sea of Marmara in the background we turn on course for Beirut. Climbing through 7,000 feet. Passing 15,000 feet near Gebze, Turkey We are at our cruising altitude of 19,000 feet. Cruising about 110 miles from Istanbul near Sobran, Turkey and the Porsuk Dam and Lake. Near the halfway point of our flight we see the large fresh water Lake Beyşehir off our right wing. Continuing to cruise near Balcılar situated on the northern side of the Toros Mountains in southern Turkey. More in the reply . . . . . . . . . Passing over a short strip of land in the far northeastern part of Cyprus. 13. We are about 30 miles from Beirut descending through 8,000 feet. 14. About 15 miles out we turn toward the airport. 15. Passing through 3,500 feet with gear down and flaps 20. 16. Lining up our approach to Rwy. 19. 17. A little over a mile and a half out we are on the glide slope with full flaps. 18. Touchdown. 19. We will be taxiing a long way around the earlier arrivals to our assigned parking space. 20. Parked and passengers disembarked. Thanks for flying Pan American.
