StringBean
As reported over at FSDeveloper.com, Jim Vile has passed away. Jim was actively involved in the FS community for years and his knowledge of the inner workings of FS airports and AI is unequaled. Much of what can be done in terms of modifying airports is possible due to Jim's contributions. He will be missed. Fair winds, Jim, and my condolences to his family and friends. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. il88pp
Jim was a great guy. I remember helping him with adding radio frequency to an airport. He helped me with some things as well. This is sad news indeed. I will miss him. il88pp. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ColR1948
So sorry, Jim was one of the guys when I first started with Flight Sim to have nearly all the answers to problems. Many a time a thread would be going and Jim would come along and chip in, to me he was a genius.
davidjones
He will be greatly missed. I noticed when he more or less disappeared from the scene and wondered how he was doing. RIP, Jim DJ
