jprism
FSX Steam - Looking to improve my ground scenery and airports. Have looked at ORBX, REX, WOIA but they have nothing to cover the Southeast (not everyone lives in the West or Europe). Help
llivaudais
Memphian here, I'd used Ultimater Terrain for years over this end of the country before building this new system and moving to P3d. I had Orbx Global base/vector for a world makeover with a few of the detailed regions for the west and UT for the rest of the country. I'd think UT if you plan to stay in this part of the world forever, but if you consider the total area covered by Global (with vector and landclass) it is probably the better deal for the long term. I would never have imagined all the locatations around the world I've flown in the last 6 years because of connections with folks on line. Give yourself room to grow... Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: self-built i7-4790 at 4 GHz; GA-Z97X mobo; GTX 970; 16GB gskill; quiet, fast and cool running. Win 7/64: 840 EVO OS; 840 EVO (500G) game drive; Win10/64: 850 EVO (500G) for OS and games A few Flightsim videos on YouTube at CanyonCorners
Rupert
+1 to starting with ORBX Global! I guess the location decisions of scenery producers are based upon the population density of the market there. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. mallcott
FSX Steam - Looking to improve my ground scenery and airports. Have looked at ORBX, REX, WOIA but they have nothing to cover the Southeast (not everyone lives in the West or Europe). Help Several addons do cover the region, as part of nationwide USA coverage. Perhaps research those, and come back for opinions once you've narrowed thigns to a shortlist. Start for FTX and Ultimate Terrain X (UTX).
kingnorris
Megascenery Earth. Photo real scenery and you can buy 1 state at a time or entire regions, including the southeast. jorgen.s.andersen
Don't be too disappointed if it doesn't look like the videos - those videos are usually post-production edited. Jorgen

jorgen.s.andersen
If it's my "5 NM NE of EDXF" you're referring to, then I am located approx. 5 nautical miles north-east of Flensburg/Schaferhaus, on the very northern tip of Germany. MrUnSavory
Orbx Global, Orbx OPENLC North America. These 2 products alone will greatly improve your ground scenery and it will not be a flat picture like Mega Scenery or any other Photo Real Scenery. ON top of that are the hundreds of free airports in the Free Airports pack for North America also by ORBX.
il88pp
Wasn't asking you Jorgen. Was asking the OP. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jorgen.s.andersen
Ah, OK. But I will second those who have recommended UTX. Works great. Jorgen
Rupert
Wasn't asking you Jorgen. Was asking the OP. Based on the OP's post, we can probably guess the question involved the S.E. United States. But I agree with others, ORBX, Vector, Earth, are probably as good as he can get unless he wants to, as mentioned, buy scenery state by state. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
