longbreak754
Have you got the right version? Two versions available - V9.0 - for a basic install of FS2004 V9.1 - for an install of the FS2004 patched to V9.1 You must have the corresponding CD patch that reflects the installed state of FS2004. beroun
I would try to start it from the FS folder (instead of the icon) right click on fs9.exe and check run as administrator. Maybe it will help. Also see my post in this forum (below). Have HP laptop with W10 and FS2004 works on it great (did not even bother changing the mode to XP!). Peter Bendl ex. beroun
Must be frustrating. I have a similar HP laptop and all goes smoothly. See my 'FS 2004 on new Windows 10 PC, post below. Maybe it can shed some light on this mystery. I would probably do the complete reinstall. But bare in mind to reinstall F 2004 some files must be deleted from the registry and also from the Roaming in Appl Data! Also, I would not bother to run it in XP mode. Mine works great without changing the mode. If you need any help with the total reinstall just shout, I wrote a guide on it. Peter Bendl ex.
