I bought a base pack off the FSpilotshop, it's over 4 gigs. It is going for few minutes then fails with a message "failed - network error".

How do I get this thing downloaded?

I was going to suggest it is always worth one of the DVD back ups.

Agree.

I managed to download it. Since I have F1 terrain products, I installed FSX onto another drive and then installed OrbX Global Base. What can I say... perhaps the Base pack isn't enough and I need immediately supplement it with Vector to see the beauty of it? Because the Base pack alone has hardly any visual advantages over F1 Ult. terrain.

I must take my words back, Orbx is indeed the greatest, it took to restart the computer to see it in all beauty. I also got FTX Vector and now I need to get terrain mesh. The research I've done so far is pointing towards Global X and some sort of Orbx compatibility package I'm not clear about.
