alexzar14 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I bought a base pack off the FSpilotshop, it's over 4 gigs. It is going for few minutes then fails with a message "failed - network error". How do I get this thing downloaded?
Double J Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Go to Orbx...and use one of their recommended free downloaders.
Ragtopjohnny Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I was going to suggest it is always worth one of the DVD back ups. http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o176/ragtopjohnny/NewSig.jpg http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-greet013.gif Checkout my new Facebook Page! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Airplane-Porn/1505438883035386 HP Z820 Workstation Intel Xeon 3.30ghz 8 Core Processor 2TB Hard Drive 16 gig of Ram 1125 Power Supply and 2 Gig Nvidia Geforce GTX 970. alexzar14 Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 I was going to suggest it is always worth one of the DVD back ups. Agree. I managed to download it. Since I have F1 terrain products, I installed FSX onto another drive and then installed OrbX Global Base. What can I say... perhaps the Base pack isn't enough and I need immediately supplement it with Vector to see the beauty of it? Because the Base pack alone has hardly any visual advantages over F1 Ult. terrain.
alexzar14 Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 I must take my words back, Orbx is indeed the greatest, it took to restart the computer to see it in all beauty. I also got FTX Vector and now I need to get terrain mesh. The research I've done so far is pointing towards Global X and some sort of Orbx compatibility package I'm not clear about.
