Sentry_FiveZero
When I load flight plans, I am on the route page and entering the airway first, clicking on the left side, then entering the waypoint and clicking on the right side. Is there a faster way to enter this, like J6/OKC and enter or something? I have the 737, 747 and 777, so if there is a different way for each, tell me. Thanks. davidjones
No, if you are going to enter plans manually that is the only procedure. Fastest is to use an online tool like SimBrief and have it export your plan. Load the plan as a coroute and add your runways and sid/stars by selection. ntai
just double checking you are using the shorter method. Cruise altitude between FL360 and FL360 EGKK (0.0 nm) -SID-> BOGNA (26.9 nm) -UN615-> BENBO (45.0 nm) -UY47-> DRAKE (59.9 nm) -UL151-> SITET (67.1 nm) -UN859-> ETRAT (92.9 nm) -UN859-> DVL (116.0 nm) -UN859-> LGL (148.4 nm) -UN859-> SORAP (165.0 nm) -UN859-> BENAR (181.7 nm) -UN859-> VANAD (207.5 nm) -UN859-> AMB (232.8 nm) -UN859-> BALAN (287.6 nm) -UL152-> LMG (329.6 nm) -UL152-> MAKOX (359.9 nm) -UN860-> AGN (448.0 nm) -UN860-> ANETO (521.1 nm) -UN860-> TURBO (541.0 nm) -UN860-> GRAUS (564.7 nm) -UN860-> LOBAR (578.8 nm) -UN860-> SEROX (603.3 nm) -UN860-> CASPE (608.1 nm) -UN860-> MLA (616.6 nm) -UN860-> CRETA (632.7 nm) -UN860->SAURA (671.4 nm) -UN860-> PLANA (694.3 nm) -UN860-> VLC (719.7 nm) -STAR-> LEAL (792.0 nm) Is entered into FMC as EGKK SID BOGNA UN615 BENBO UY47 DRAKE UL151 SITET UN859 BALAN UL152 MAKOX UN860 VLC STAR LEAL All other Waypoints on that airway will automatically be entered. rishabk97
Actually, there is a shorter way. Consider the route given above by ntai. After BOGNA, when you enter UN615, you need not enter BENBO, enter straight the next airway, UY47 and so on. There is no need to fill the right side waypoints, except for the last one. http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
ntai
Hi Rishbabk, I tried your instructions in my Airbus FMGC, but was unable to enter the flight plan per your suggestion. The Airbus FMGC requires an airway, and then a Way point where you plan to terminate said airway. I guess Boeing and Airbus FMC's are a bit different. Thanks for your feed back. rishabk97
Nope, it works in Airbus too. I'll see if I can show you some pictures showing it. http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
rishabk97
Take a look at the following photos. The first picture shows that I've entered my first airway which is UM985. Next, I do not enter a waypoint, but I take the next airway, which is UN870 and, insert it in the next Via. See? BCN automatically shows up. The same procedure works in Airbus. http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
Sentry_FiveZero
Very good. Thank you. I thought there was a faster way than what I was doing it. Does this method work in the 73 and 74 as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk USAF E-3 Crew Chief 1981-2001 FS2004 Century of Flight, FSX, flying since version 1.0! rishabk97
73, yes. 74, not sure, but I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work. http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
