westway
Suddenly I'm getting "boxing" smoke, can someone please tell me how to resolve this issue?
jandjfrench
Hi. Seems like a messed up texture file. A quick fix can be found in the library here: Gauges_Recovery_FSX.zip Don't let the title fool you. All of the default texture files are restored. If you've modified the GPS this will also be set to the original. Be aware. Jim F.

westway
So I download the fix file however every time I go to run it, it fails because it says there is an error. I don't understand. This does work in Windows 10?

This does work in Windows 10? Show the error. Other alternative is to restore the effects folder from the vanilla copy of FSX that you must surely have backed up on a hard drive after having this problem over a three year period? Reinstall the simulator.
westway
Nope, you are wrong . . . .Fixed, all is well, re-fixed, all is well, re-fixed, then downloaded 777 from this site and it put the smoke issue into a tailspin, re-fixed, all is well, again. Interesting comment though. . . . . .
