CLS 747 HD Effects

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. I modified the lights on the CLS 747 HD to make them smaller. The originals look way to big especially the nav lights. I go into FSX. The new size looks great. But there is one small problem. When I go back into FSX at a latter date, all the lights are back to there default size. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? All I did was shrink the size of the lights on the bitmap for that plane's effect file with a texture editor. The bitmap is still the same size. Just the "picture" of the lights I made smaller. The enclosed attachment is what they look like at there original size for reference. Thanks!
