asos
From a Russian site I downloaded an AN-2 by Vladimir A. Zhyhulskiy--among other things of his and sceneries. I could not start the engines, but worked hard and changed settings and now that problem is fixed. The zip gives 3 aircraft folders, and one named AGRO has chocks at the wheels and tie-down cords at the wingtips going to the ground. Now the problem is that these do not go away and you take off and have them stuck there as you fly--chocks and tiedown ropes... I tried all I could think of,changing the model files and even once replacing with another model file (from the other one of the 2 a/c folders) and nothing worked. Any ideas? I could send the 3 aircraft folders to anyone who might want to try, through "FILE SEND". The AGRO folder has the problems. Nick, Athens, Greece... napamule2
Nick, I don't have that zip. But if you give me the zip file name I can look at it for you. Often the modeler will use either wing fold, spoiler, tail hook, or even the parking brake to toggle the chocks and tie downs. Did you read the 'Readme'? It usually will say what key is used to toggle them. Chuck B Napamule i7 2600K @ 3.4 Ghz (Turbo-Boost to 3.877 Ghz), Asus P8H67 Pro, Super Talent 8 Gb DDR3/1333 Dual Channel, XFX Radeon R7-360B 2Gb DDR5, Corsair 650 W PSU, Dell 23 in (2048x1152), Windows7 Pro 64 bit, MS Sidewinder Precision 2 Joy, Logitech K-360 wireless KB & Mouse, Targus PAUK10U USB Keypad for Throttle (F1 to F4)/Spoiler/Tailhook/Wing Fold/Pitch Trim/Parking Brake/Snap to 2D Panel/View Change. Installed on 250 Gb (D:). FS9 and FSX Acceleration (locked at 30 FPS).
asos
Napamule, Thanks, Thru your suggestion I fixed the problem. In another folder, the Readme for all 3 models says the L key removes chocks and tiedowns. I tried it and it worked--they disappear once you press L. Thanks again for valuable help. Name of the zip is: 40620-An2zh-2011.zip I got it at a Russian site. If you google the zip name, you will find links--but I could not re-download it thru those. I can always send it if you fail to get it. Nick
Avechelice
Hello, For download this very good AN-2 .. go there: http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fs2004-aircrafts-40/antonov-an-2-for-fs-9-version-2011-40620.html?action=download&hl= Regards.http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/a/bye.gif If you gave a couple of monkeys a box of ballpoints, enough paper, and enough time, they'd eventually finish up writing the complete works of Shakespeare :)

Nick As with all of these Russian AN-2 aircraft, you need to have the throttle at lest 1/3 to 1/2 open to get the engine to start and run at a high idle. asos
;)mrzippy, I reinstalled the a/c after your suggestion--the original ones without my engine start mods--and tried what you said. ss It did not work--engine would not start. So I reverted to my engine start mods--it starts ok again. As said, it had taken me 3 hours to make the mods that make the engines start. Try what you advised and see if you can start the engines... Nick
mrzippy
;) Try what you advised and see if you can start the engines. Nick Directly from the download i chose the Argo model, the one shown in my screenshot. Since all of the switches and stuff are in Rooskie speak, I used Ctrl+E for engine start. Added the right amount of throttle and the engine kicks over and starts right up. I suggest you use a bigger hammer! This was another AN-2 model that someone said they could not start!
