adamb
Whoopsie, now that would have left a mark! :D You can plainly see it wasn't your fault as you said, it must be because you are a great and Noble pilot that you avoided a head on collision. That should give me a few points with the old boy. :D Super set of shots Jan, I like the livery, looks great!!! :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mrzippy
Looking good! Now comes the inquiry....Did his Royal Airworthiness takeoff on the wrong runway or was the King Air trying to do a downwind landing approach??? At least no water is involved:eek: The jury is out! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
Rupert
Looking good! Now comes the inquiry....Did his Royal Airworthiness takeoff on the wrong runway or was the King Air trying to do a downwind landing approach??? At least no water is involved:eek: The jury is out! I think the Lord didn't provide the last several frames of his flight! As you can plainly see, there is water nearby! And we all know a Peerhoven can hardly ever stay out of the water! ;) BTW: Note the wind sock in frame #9. Me thinks his Royalness was taking off downwind! That must have been the closest route to the water he always seems to seek and find. Great screenies Van!! (Does the compliment save my nose from a punch or more???) wolf2
you always know how to compose shots to show off that great scenery you find, and have such a huge variety of planes. great post, my friend! as for that other little thing, you WERE cleared for departure, right? hmmm, what was that?? you know, the idea of a midair was the only thing about flying that scared me in all my years of flying, if i dwelled on it. NMLW
A great set of captures of the C-123 Jan!  :D No worry about about losing you license anyone can make a stupid mistake. :p A safe alternative would have been to ditch in the water at the end of the runway, a place where you would have been very comfortable. :) Larry

peer01
Listen, that windsock wasn't pointing the right direction, ATC gave me clearance and it's only because I'm a very skilled airman I avoided a mid air collission wit a stupid Beechcraft pilot! HA! annber
Well, well, this post has forced me to come out of my med imposed temporary retirement, there I was laying on a nice beach chaise with a cold glass of freshly made iced tea. Unfortunately royalty gets away with a lot these days, specially dutch royalty, windmills and all, as evidenced by this self incriminating post. I have it on good account that the poor chap on the beech had to ditch the plane on a nearby lake. Great post Jan, that is one good looking bird, and given that it is carrying royalty it always has the right of way.:):) ANNBER https://www.facebook.com/Photosim-Labs-133663917277630/

KCD
Well, Jan, my friend, you have created a whopping brew-ha-ha out of a not so close far miss. Once again you are guilty of misdemeanors agains the commoners. Seems like you royals (with a small "r") think you can do whatever you like without consequence. Not so, kind sir, please show us the culmination of this flight and hoe it has ended on the complete and total dunking of this beautiful U.S. Coast Guard aircraft.
