Last Flying Martian Mars

While this isn't a sim screenie, I thought it might be interesting to view. According to a AOPA article, this is the last Martian Mars still flying. They say it has the wing span of a 747 and drafts 4.5' of water. Unless you live near Lake Winnabego you've probably never seen one.;)

 Martian? Is this Flightsim or X-Files?

An amazing aircraft to be sure. One of my favourite episodes of 'Mighty Planes' too. — Bob

GREAT SCREENIES OLIVER!! I had no idea that plane was available in sim form. Some of the RW pictures from AOPA show the Martian in action as a firefighter as well. And you did a great job of duplicating the pictures I only copied and pasted with screenies!:cool: You are a screenie natural!

I may have to look into getting one of those Martian sims myself!

Thanks Mr Zippy! You're doing me all kinds of favors today.

Maybe I'll try to download it tomorrow! It probably wouldn't download right today anyway!! I didn't know Mondays came on Saturdays! But then again, being retired as I am, I guess every day is a Saturday.:cool:;)

Come on Van, Von, or Jan, whichever cheese you are! Place one right here on my big sunburned nose!! I'm retired! I can handle it!! I hope---

:confused:I said that?? Really! I better go and get another one of my happy pills! He make make my Saturday a Monday yet!

Hi @ll,

many thanks for your replies!

Btw. the Virtavia product is not "top of the line". Only buy it if it is on sale. I got it because there aren't that many flying boats around (and I am not too good at finding the right stuff in the library anyway). Never had a Virtavia model before too, and I was curious. Still, it is a nice addition to go with my FireFighter X (which is how the last screenshot came to pass).

If you like them even more impressive, search for the "sr45.zip" in the library.
