alexzar14
...it started to give me too much tuh-pain lately... No, deleting the default.fxml and default.wx and prepar3d.cfg files does not help, the start generates the new files and then I get the same message again, followed by a CTD. No search found me the answer, deleting the fxml/wx files doesn't fix this drek.
alexzar14
No good, solution not known... this is the bad part about P3D, if some kaka happens to it, you are forced to reinstall.
vgbaron
Use the client and do a repair install. If that doesn't work reinstall the client. Should tak no more that 10 minutes. I already reinstalled but I strongly believe I will yet to have another (and not 1) opportunity to try your advice. That Orbx stuff takes forever to reinstall, Base + base update + orbx libs + vector + all LCs, maaaaaann....

For those who would like to know how to do it, it's simple: 1: Uninstall the Prepar3d Client .msi from the default programs listing 2: Install the `new` Client .msi 3: Re-run FTX Central and let it re-synch all the addons. Absolutely no need to reinstall either the whole sim, nor any addon that doesn't get impacted by the client.msi. And that includes scenery
