gerryb2257
Hello I have bought the Overland japan Airbus Edition Aircraft for fs2004, all the software downloaded ok into my sim which i was informed was ok but i can't find the aircraft anywhere, i have followed all the instructions in the manual but no aircraft at all, it places a folder in your fs9 that says "W-AIRBUS" if you then click on this folder their is another sub folder with "Airbus2k4" & another file which says "Install exe" i clicked on this file & then go into yet another subfolder see attachment,i have tried to contact Overland japan tech department with an e mail but i have got no response, has anyone out there come across this problem with overland ? i have spent £20 on this software which is useless to me if i can't access the aircraft, any help would be appreciated thanks guys :)
mrzippy
Setup.exe would be the one I'd try running. Odd that it setup a folder like that inside your FS9 Sim. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
jgf
If running setup there does nothing, double-click the .msi file (MicroSoft Installer; many programs are distributed in this format, it works with the default windows installer software to create all the registry entries, uninstall information, .etc that windows loves). mrzippy
This is from a product review from here in 2010. Download and Installation The product comes as a 388 MB zip file from the Pilot Shop. Installation is done in a slightly strange way. You have to extract the contents of the zip file and run the installer which in turn installs another installer. This installer along with a manual can be found in a file within the temporary directory to which you extracted the contents of the downloaded zip file. When you run that installer (the new one), you can select whether you want to install it for FS2002 or FS2004. After selecting the version, you enter your name, serial key and follow the instructions on screen. You can choose between a simple install and custom install which has more options. Please note that the installer will not detect your installation of FS2004 if you have installed somewhere other than the default location. And there, you're done. System requirements haven't been stated. So, it's fine if you have a system that can run FS2004 or FS2002 comfortably.
